HellRaisers have announced that they will not attend the offline finals of CEVO Season 8.

The Ukrainian team had qualified for the CEVO finals after finishing in third place in the European division, level on points with G2, who had the worse head-to-head record of the two.

However, HellRaisers have now announced that they will be relinquishing their spot at the event, citing "medical reasons" from one of their players as the reason to skip the $150,000 tournament.

ANGE1's side will miss the CEVO Finals

The time that HellRaisers would spend competing in the United States with a stand-in will instead be used to prepare for the other leagues in which they are competing, the FACEIT League, the ESL ESEA Pro League and StarSeries, the Ukrainian organisation added.

"It was very important for us in terms of formation a new roster [to attend the event], but the circumstances didn't let it happen," team coach Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov said in a statement.

"And we are not willing to go there as a mix, since right after it we are having important matches at SLTV and Faceit.

"We decided to focus on other tournaments, since there is a chance to reach the finals stages there. The health of players is more important than ambitions, so cheer for us in the remaining leagues and you may see us at offline events this year again..."

CEVO has not yet stated who will step into the shoes of HellRaisers, but it is likely that G2 are the first team in line to replace the Ukrainian side at the event, which will take place from November 6-8.

The list of participants for the event currently looks as follows:

PolandVirtus.proNull element Na`Vi
France TitanDenmark dignitas
United States Team LiquidBrazil Luminosity
United States ConquestOther TBD
